I'm a first-generation college student, and I'm feeling overwhelmed by the workload. My parents didn't go to college, so I don't have anyone to turn to for guidance. I feel like I'm constantly behind and struggling to keep up with my assignments. On top of that, I have to work part-time to support myself and help my family. How do I balance schoolwork with family obligations and work? I don't want to let anyone down, but I'm starting to feel like I'm not giving any of these areas of my life the attention they deserve.

I'm also a first-gen student and I've found that joining student organizations and clubs has really helped me feel more connected to the campus community. It can be tough feeling like you don't belong or like you're different from everyone else, but remember that there are other students out there who are going through the same thing. Look for clubs or organizations that align with your interests or cultural background - it's a great way to find support and make new friends.
I'm not a first-gen student, but I just wanted to say how much I admire your perseverance and resilience. It takes a lot of courage to go to college without any family support or background, and you're doing an amazing job. Keep pushing through and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it.
As a fellow first-gen college student, I can totally relate to how you're feeling. It's tough navigating the college system without any prior knowledge or guidance, but don't let that stop you from reaching your goals. Remember that you're paving the way for future generations in your family, and that's something to be really proud of.
