I injured my ankle during basketball season and I'm worried about losing my starting position. Any advice on how to stay involved with the team while I'm recovering? I've been playing basketball since I was a kid and it's always been a huge part of my life. Now that I can't play, I feel like I'm losing a part of my identity. I don't want to let my teammates down, but I also don't want to push myself too hard and make my injury worse. Any tips on how to stay involved and motivated while I'm recovering?

Injuries can be frustrating, but maybe this is an opportunity to explore other interests and hobbies outside of basketball?
I had a similar injury when I was playing soccer. It's important to take the time to properly heal so that you can come back stronger.
