One of my friends has been bullied by a student at our school, and I want to do something about it. The problem is that I am not sure how to confront the bully. I don't want to make the situation worse, but I also don't want my friend to continue to be bullied. I have tried talking to my friend about the situation, but they don't want to go to the teachers or the administrators for fear of retaliation. I am feeling really frustrated and angry, and I want to stand up for my friend.

My advice would be to stay calm when you go to confront the bully. If you become angry or emotional, it may escalate the situation and make it more challenging to resolve. However, I also want to suggest that you seek support. Even though your friend does not want to get the teachers involved, I still think that it would be beneficial for you to reach out and have someone you trust on your side.
